Hortulus Farm is thrilled to unveil our captivating Wildflower Weekends, a celebration of the lingering beauty that bridges the gap between summer and autumn. Immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of colors, artisanal shopping, and family-friendly fun as we open our Wildflower Field to the community for the weekends of September 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24 from 10am-4pm.
With each step through our Wildflower Field, you'll be transported into a floral wonderland that boasts a breathtaking array of zinnias, calendulas, amaranths, dahlias, and fragrant fillers. Picture yourself amidst a tapestry of hues, where petals dance on the breeze and sunlight weaves its magic through leaves.
Take a leisurely stroll through our wildflower fields, where you can wield shears to compose your own bespoke bouquets, thoughtfully hand-tied by our Hortulus team. Alternatively, embrace the vibrancy of handpicked blooms, adorning yourself with exquisite flower crowns meticulously crafted by local floral artisans Lady Bird Wild Flowers and Rise and Shine Flowers. For those who appreciate local authenticity, explore the Marsh Gibbons Gardens table, offering mixed bouquets sourced directly from their New Hope flower farm.
The air is filled with the sweet melodies of local musicians, complementing the vibrant colors around you. Sip on floral-themed cocktails crafted by Soundless Spirits Distillery and Vault Brewing, perfectly harmonizing with the atmosphere. Let your taste buds dance with delight as food trucks offer tantalizing treats, turning your outing into a memorable feast for the senses. In addition to our sheep and goats, the Hortulus Petting Farm will be growing as we welcome Sleepy Hollow Farm with a Peruvian alpaca, miniature Sicilian donkey, chickens, bunnies, ducks and Indian Fantails!
Children's laughter fills the air as they embark on their own adventures. Imagine your little ones crafting miniature boats, gently launching them into the tranquil waters at the Boat Launch of Boulder Falls. Their eyes sparkle with excitement as they uncover hidden treasures during the sparkling gold panning activity. Children will also be able to create an Enchanting Flower Fairy fashioned from faux flower blooms and wooden beads, a magical way to craft and play all in one — or create Pressed Petal Magic with a charming pennant using air clay and pressed flowers, preserving the beauty of nature in a delightful keepsake.
